Alternate Housing Arrangements
A limited amount of dormitory-style housing is available at a nearby hostel, run by a convent. This option is offered at a substantial savings for festival participants and students only. The hostel offers group rooms (male & female quarters) with shared bath. The facilities are quite spartan but clean and neat. Bed linens and towels must be brought independently. Those electing to stay in the hostel are encouraged to take meals on the festival meal plan so as to maintain contact with the group. The hostel is within walking distance of class-room and studio facilities in the town.

Vietri sul Mare
Vietri sul Mare, a small, charming seaside town situated on a bluff over the Bay of Salerno, has been one of the centers of Italian ceramics since the 15th century. Ceramic studios and workshops are found on every corner; colorful handpainted tiles line the streets.
